We’re so excited to celebrate our special day with all the people we love most. It means the world to us that you’ll be part of it, whether you’re travelling from far away or just down the road.
We’ve created this website to try and make everything as easy as possible. Here you’ll find all the important details about the day, including the venue, timings, accommodation, travel tips, and a FAQs.
Please take a moment to look around and make sure to RSVP when you can, as it really helps us with planning (and keeps Ale calm!).
We honestly can’t wait to celebrate, laugh, dance, and make memories together with you all.

Our Story

How We Met

We first met by chance, in a shared flat, over pasta and a conversation that made everything feel easy. From the very beginning, there was warmth, laughter, and a sense that something felt familiar.
We started as friends, then life took us in different directions for a while. When we found our way back to each other a few years later, it only took one evening to realise what had been quietly waiting all along.
Now we move through the world together, traveling, hosting, and loving, building a home filled with friends, family, lovely food, and very good wine.

The Proposal

A November proposal that was planned and kept secret since April! The longest 7 months of Elliot's life! It all started with Elliot & Alejandra planning to visit Vietnam & Cambodia for a holiday. Elliot had decided he was going to propose to Alejandra during the holiday and therefore casually volunteered to taking on the planning of the 3 nights they had in the city of Hoi An, and leave the remaining 14 nights to plan for Alejandra!  Elliot had booked to stay in the Four Seasons where he had arranged a beautiful dinner on the beach for the proposal. However, the fates did not allow this and a few days before they had left to go on their holiday a Typhoon had struck Vietnam! ...To Be Continued.

Wedding Party

Lilly

We met completely by chance. On paper, we couldn’t have been more different, but when we were “forced” to spend lockdown together during Covid, we quickly realised we were exactly what the other needed.
What started as an unexpected friendship became something that feels like family. Living together for a year showed me what it truly means to have a sister, someone who sees you at your best and at your worst and stays anyway.
Since then, we’ve been inseparable. She balances me, grounds me, and makes my world brighter just by being in it.

Jon

Since the day I was born, Jonathan has always looked out for me, offering support, guidance and, at times, prioritising my growth over his own, even if that meant sacrificing the vegetables he did not like so I could have more.
My brother and I are incredibly fortunate to share such a close bond. Our mum likes to boast that our closeness comes from sharing a bedroom for much of our childhood. I would argue it was something deeper. From an early age, we learned that it was always easier to stand together than to stand alone.
Even now, years later, I am lucky that Jon and his wife, Jazmin, live just five minutes down the road, close enough that we have proudly continued our long-standing tradition of sharing a car.

Dani

We’ve known each other since we were two years old, but life had its own timing for our friendship. It wasn’t until we both moved to London that our bond truly deepened and became what it is today.
Dani is one of the most compassionate people I know, with a fierce strength that makes you feel safe no matter what. She is the kind of person who stands beside you through every high and every low without hesitation.
She is also one of the very few people who understands what it means to have your heart in two places, calling both Colombia and England home. That shared journey makes our connection something truly rare and special.

Alan

I met Alan at boarding school, where we quickly became close, helped in no small part by the fact that we were the only two smokers in the house. I would find the best hiding spots, and Alan would smuggle the cigarettes back in his suitcase from Hong Kong.
Somewhere along the way, Alan was unofficially adopted into the Wise family, gradually stealing the position of favourite child. This was largely because he had the decency to pay his own school fees and could sit and watch football in complete silence with Marcus, a quality that earned him enormous respect in our household.

Isa

One of my best friends from school, our friendship grew stronger during our English lessons, where we were the only two girls in the class. Somehow, in that small classroom, something lifelong was built.
Isa has the kind of warmth that draws people in. She is always smiling, always making you laugh, and carries the sweetest and most honest soul.
She has been by my side through so many chapters of life, and I cannot imagine this one without her standing next to me.

Nick

Nick has always been the most musically talented of our friendship group. At university, he would regularly pop into my room to play the latest track he had been working on under his pseudonym, WilderBeats.
It is a real shame that after university WilderBeats was shelved so he could focus on his medical career. That said, we have all benefited from his change in direction. Nick has since taken on the role of the group’s resident oncologist, a position that became particularly essential after my father retired.

Mafe

Being only three years younger, Mafe has always somehow felt like the older one. Growing up she became the sister I never had, while I was running around causing chaos, she would happily sit at Jeno's Pizza chatting away with the adults.
Whenever my parents travelled, I would stay at her house for weeks at a time, and it truly felt like having a real sister: waking up early to race to the shower, breakfast together, and patiently sitting while our aunt did our hair.
From childhood trips to countless family memories, she has been part of every stage of my life, and having her by my side on my wedding day feels like bringing a piece of my home and childhood with me

Rob

Rob has been a loyal and close friend of mine since we met at university. At one point, he worked as a space flight economist, a job I still don’t fully understand, but feel free to ask him and let me know!

Over the years, Rob has developed quite an iconic look. He is almost always seen in a large overcoat, with a pair of wired headphones around his neck, and black Chelsea boots. It does not matter whether he is at a pub in London in the middle of winter or on the beach in Lisbon in spring, you can always count on Rob to be wearing those Chelsea boots.

Bella

Like many of my close friends, I met Bella in my first year at university. She studied History and specialised in the life of Che Guevara, which perhaps explains her attachment to the rebellious type.
A few years after university, Bella randomly told me she had decided to become a police detective and within a year she was. If you have a strong stomach, you should ask her about some of her more interesting shifts. Whether it is history or crime, it is clear she has a true passion for getting to the bottom of things. With me, though, it was mainly the bottom of the pint glass.

Alberto

Although we met at school, Alberto and I became inseparable during high school when I encouraged him to be a little more spontaneous and enjoy life. From then on he has been one of the most constant friends I have ever had, and truly the glue of our school friendship group, without him I don’t think we would all still be this close today.
Even living on the other side of the world in Colombia, he has travelled to London countless times just to visit me, and we have shared some unforgettable trips together, including his first European adventure in 2018. Since then we’ve made a promise to see each other at least once a year. Having him beside me on my wedding day means the world to me, and I couldn’t imagine it without him.

As we’ll be starting celebrations from the Friday, we recommend arriving at least by Thursday evening so you have time to settle in and rest. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

Are kids welcome?

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the day with us.
We really appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to venue capacity and planning, invitations are extended only to the person(s) named on the invitation. We hope you understand and appreciate you celebrating with us.

Will parts of the wedding take place outdoors?

Yes,  both the ceremony and the drinks reception will be outdoors. Cartagena has a Caribbean climate, so please expect warm temperatures (around 30°C) and humidity. We recommend light, breathable outfits!

What if I have dietary requirements or allergies?

We are currently working on the menu and, once invitations are sent, we will follow up with everyone to collect any dietary requirements or allergies so we can accommodate you as best as possible.

What will the weather be like in March?

In March, Cartagena, Colombia, experiences hot, dry, and sunny weather, making it one of the best times to visit. As part of the dry season, you can expect minimal rainfall and plenty of sunshine, with high temperatures often moderated by a welcome sea breeze.

Do I need a visa to enter Colombia?

Citizens from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and most EU nations generally do not need a visa to enter Colombia for tourism or business for stays up to 90 days. A valid passport (at least 6 months), proof of onward travel, and a completed "Check-Mig" form are required. You must complete the Check-Mig form online within 72 hours before your flight.

Who should we contact if we have questions during our trip or on the wedding day?

To help make your trip as easy and enjoyable as possible, we have arranged for our wedding planner to be available to our guests throughout the weekend. She will be happy to assist with logistics, travel planning and concierge services, including recommendations and bookings for accommodation, restaurants and activities.
As we may be busy with the celebrations, she will be the best point of contact for any questions or assistance you may need.

Dress Code

The day Before

We’ll update this section soon with more details, we promise it will be worth the wait!

Day of the Wedding

As we’ll be celebrating our wedding in Cartagena de Indias, we’ll be embracing a colourful and elegant tropical formal style. For inspiration, please take a look below at our Pinterest boards to get a sense of the overall look and feel we have in mind for the day.

Men

We suggest a linen suit in soft or colourful tones, or a traditional long-sleeved white formal guayabera shirt.

Women

For women, think refined and flowing, long or midi dresses in light fabrics and vibrant or warm colours.
Please avoid white and beige, as these colours are reserved for the bride.
